Test Setel API Documentation
The postal codes provided in the order is the primary information used to determine the shipping zones and lanes of the orders, so it is important to provide accurate postal codes to ensure smooth shipping.
In general our API does not perform a strict validation of postal codes against the city or state, but we do expect them to be a valid one and we are able to match them against our zones databae. You can find a summary of the zone breakdown here.
In general, most countries’ postal codes consist of 4-6 digit numbers, with leading zeroes included, though there are some exceptions:
Hongkong does not use postal codes. Use 0 as a placeholder when sending in Hongkong address.
Bruneian postcode has six characters, consisting of two uppercase letters and followed by four digits of numbers with no space in between. The first letter of the postal codes can either be B, K, T, or P.
The Canadian postal code format is alphanumeric and consists of six characters, divided into two groups of three characters each.
Great Britain postal codes consists of 5 to 7 alphanumeric characters. It always starts with 1-2 letters followed by 1-2 digits, and then another digit followed by 2 characters. e.g. SW1A 1AA
Currently, EU shipments are treated as a single country with country code of EU, and we need the postal codes to be prefixed with the actual country code. For example:
(1) Italy - IT20019
(2) France - FR70123
(3) Belgium - BE8583
